Good luck getting info. I've sent them two email inquiries several weeks ago and haven't heard back. I'm pretty excited to have an indoor track available so close to home, but first it has to open!
I left a message and got a return phone call about 2 weeks ago. They have had permit issues (fire code), something about a wooden structure inside a warehouse. They assured me it was still on "Track" and to be open by mid September. I looked in the windows last week before heading to San Jose,and I didn't see much progress.
Keeping my fingers crossed, Not holding my breath.
Ok- I know I am an optimist generally but I am starting to have doubtful thoughts. Here is an update from my super secret source (I think he has a good inside source):
"Track is still waiting on some city zoning issue. They told me they've looked at a few other warehouses if this one falls through. But it is all ready to put up, just would take 4-5 days depending on # of people helping. They're supposed to find out more this Thursday."
I also have gone by there several times and peeked in the windows. There isn't much to report. The photos that I send out a while ago reflects the same amount of progress you could see today. I am supposed to have an opportunity to walk through the building soon. If I do get in, I will take some more photos.
IMO- The outdoor 250 that is planned for Erie, CO is a much better deal. I heard from the owner that things are still moving forward. I think that because he isn't rushing into anything and doing everything correctly the first time... it will be a much better track for the community (and me!)

Good news! I just received an email from one of the managers. The velodrome is delayed because of a permit issue (as we knew) but it is still going to be built and he was confident that the final few issues would be resolved by the end of this week. Stay tuned....
There is also good stuff happening with the outdoor 250 in Erie. But, I don't want to curse it so I won't give details.
One day we will have 2 velodromes in Boulder! lol
