The Six Day Bicycle Races, America’s Jazz Age Sport
Six Day Racing StuffBy: Peter Nye, Jeff Groman and Mark Tyson
Available from:  Van Der Plas Publications/Cycling Publishing, San Francisco, CA

FGF Review by Steve Whitmore

It is not often that a book about the history of bike racing becomes available, and it is even more seldom when a quality film companies the book. Aficionados of track racing and Fixed Gear Fever participants have been given a rare treat with the publishing of The Six-Day Bicycle Races, America’s Jazz Age Sport. The book is written by Peter Nye, who brought us the book Hearts of Lions, Jeff Groman, the owner of an incredible collection of historic photographs, and our very own Mark Tyson, coach, mentor and friend of track cyclists everywhere.
